Jewerly Resources

Jewerly Resources

Hi ya'll!

I get asked a lot how I learned to metalsmith and make jewerly, and I thought I might share some of my favorite resources!

I personally took classes at Pasadena City College. I know a lot of other jewelers who turned to their local community colleges for classes like these as well. Here is a link to the classes I took:

Once I got into metalsmithing, I found a lot of community on Instagram. One of my favorite accounts was Sharon Z Jewelry. I'm pretty sure shes not on Instagram anymore but I signed up for her email list, which is my favorite email list of all time to be on. She shares really amazing information all the way from stone setting to where to find funding and grants. Here is a link to her:

This last one is for my LA locals: Barnsdall Park.

They have a great lineup of all different kinds of art classes and might be more lowkey than jumping back into community college. If you aren't LA local, I BET there are tons of park programs in your area or close to your area, if you look for them!
