FAQ
Shipping
How long will my order take to ship?
- One of a kind orders are in stock and will ship within a week. Permanent collection or commissioned jewelry is made to order and has a 4-6 week lead time.
Are customs and duties charges included in your pricing?
- All customs and duties charges are the responsibility of the buyer, once the product has left my studio, I no longer have any control over extra shipping costs. Please pay attention to your tracking number to ensure that no extra charges have been incurred.
Is my order insured?
- All orders are shipped USPS Priority and are automatically insured up to $100, if you require more insurance please reach out to me and we can add it to the order. This may cause extra charges and/or need a signature confirmation upon receipt.
Commissions and Repairs
Can I supply my own metal or stones for a commission?
- You can supply your own gemstone for a commission but not metal as of right now.
My jewelry broke, can you repair it?
- If the stone in a piece of jewelry broke it is unlikely that I can repair it, but I may be able to find a suitable replacement stone depending on the shape and size. If any part of the metal breaks I need to examine the piece before determining if it is something I can repair.
Can you resize a ring or lengthen/shorten the chain on a necklace?
- I can change the chain length on most necklaces, reach out to me to see what length will suit you best and how we can achieve that! As for ring sizing, most of the rings are one of a kind and already made, the sizing can not be changed. I can always create a custom ring in your size with very similar characteristics.
What is sterling silver?
- .925 sterling silver is a popular choice for jewelry, and the ".925" marking means it contains 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. Pure silver is too soft for most uses, so copper is added to give the metal strength and durability while still maintaining its bright, shiny appearance. For most people, the small amount of copper doesn’t cause any issues. However, in some cases, copper may react with the skin or air, leading to a slight greenish tint or mild skin irritation, especially for those with sensitive skin or a copper allergy. Keeping sterling silver jewelry clean and dry can help prevent these reactions.
